I have been a member of Bethel AME Deland, FL for 2 years now. I was looking for a church and found this little congregation in this beautiful, historic church building. I was in awe when I entered the sanctuary. The cathedral ceiling has inlaid hardwood that was put together piece by piece by the founders of this historic church. It took me back in time. There is also the original pews and stained glass windows and light fixtures, including a large chandolier in the sanctuary. The people of this church welcomed me with open arms. They were friendly, but also took an interest in me as an individual. It did not take long for them to accept me into their church family and I do not want to attend church anyplace else but at Bethel African Methodist Episcopal church at 226 East Howry Avenue in Deland, FL. Call us and come by for a visit. If you need transportation, we can send someone to bring you to us. We would like to meet you and welcome you to our congregation.
