My tenants complained that the old bathroom exhaust fan wasn't working well. I needed a new unit. My long-time electrician has just retired so I needed to shop around for a new one. I tried some of the heavily advertised electricians and never got past the clue-less telephone lady who promised to make an appointment next week for a salesman to come in make an estimate, and who advised me that the estimate would cost $69.95 or $75.00 or so. That was very frustrating. I Then lucked upon Stephen Sylvia, whom a friend recommended. No clue-less telephone lady, no next-week appointment for estimate... within about 15 minutes' conversation, he had me explain what the problem was, quoted a VERY REASONABLE price for s strong replacement exhaust unit, and made an appointment for the following day. He came the next day, on time, replaced the old unit with a sexy new one, and charged the exact amount he had verbally quoted over the phone. Steve is a competent and experienced master electrician, with an honest no-nonsense/no-bullshit attitude. Don't fall for the sales-spiel of the guys who advertise on TV. You want it done right, quickly and reasonably priced, save the $75.00 ""estimate fee"" and call Steve. Remember, you can call Steve and there's always someone competent to talk to when you call; no sales lady, no India ""customer support"" but informative knowledgeable and friendly professional.
