Our Son and Daughter in law gave us a gift card for our birthday. After reading the reviews, we were expecting poor service and not too much value in the food menu. To our surprise, the server was very friendly and attentive. There were two bags of popcorn and two glasses of Ice water at our table waiting for us.The menu prices were average and the portons were good. We ordered the fish and chips $13.00, and the Ale battered chicken $13.00. My husband also had a shrimp cocktail $8.00. The food was tasty and the fries were hot, and came in a cute little mesh basket that looked like a small fryer basket. The seats were very comfortable, there was a pillow and blanket available in the arm rest. We thoroughly enjoyed our movie 'date night'. Gold Coast was bought out by ipic cinemas, so I don't know if that is why the experience was better than the other reviews. The staff was very friendly and the theater was nicely decorated and very clean. If you are looking for a special evening, I would recommend giving this a try.
