I worked with the manager to organize a surprise 30th birthday party at Butterfield 8 in November and am just now getting around to complimenting her. She was totally helpful and offered many options for our party. We could have the back room (must spend a min amt), reserve several booths (no fee), and order some food. We reserved a few booths and they were cool about me bringing a cake I made. The staff was really nice, totally available when we needed them, but not intrusive. The bar is a step up from my usual ""dive bar"" hangouts but not much more expensive. It was a really great surprise party (even though the bouncer accidently asked the birthday girl if she was there for the surprise party--oops!) and everybody at Butterfield 8 helped make it special.
Pros: Accomodating Staff, Classy Place, Not too Pricey
Cons: Gets Crowded Late
