Review content:
As my friends and I eat out almost religiously, we always try to find places that aren't the current ""restaurant of the year"" and so forth, as they generally have either very long wait times, there accolades tend to go to there head, and food quality seems to suffer greatly. We are always very pleased to find new places that wow us, as does hunters ridge grill in Sherwood. A bit hard to find, but well worth the ""hunt"", no pun intended. Lets get on to the food. They serve lunch and dinner, which both are excellent every time we have been there (9-10 times now). Their menu changes as the chef sees fit. Creativity, flavors and simple presentations are the rule here. We love the fact that they strive to make all there charcuterie, breads, desserts on premise. We have sampled almost all the menu items. Their cassoulet is to die for, (no pun intended their either with the sausage, bacon and duck in all its artery clogging goodness). They are not shy in using vegetables(as most restaurants dont), All fish preparations have been great. The pork chop is delicious every time as well as the steaks, They use local farmers and give them a recognition on the back of their menu which is nice. Their website is packed with upcoming events such as wine maker dinners, happy hour, live music and so much more. Oh, I almost forgot to mention the burger, brioche bun with white cheddar, my only complaint is PLEASE BRING BACK THE PICKLES!!!!! SOON!!! Small but focused wine list with some great older vintages that change often, yummy cocktails too!!!
