Von Shock & Zap Tattoo aren't worth the trouble I have no idea about his skill as an artist because his snotty attitude had me turned around and out the door within 5 minutes after I entered. My wife and I were on vacation in Cali and had both decided to go under the needle for a little vacation memory. She planned on getting a small star (about the size of a penny) and I was in need of getting my third child's name added to my arm in a very simple Celtic font... both of these would normally cost about $20 to $30. Zap tattoos minimum charge is $60. Regardless of the price, when we entered, Mr. Von Shock asked us if we were intoxicated. We replied that we were not and he said, ""Well, you look a little jittery....don't lie to me, because I have a background in police enforcement."" Oooooh! Was that supposed to scare me? We honestly were not intoxicated in any way, (Maybe a little hungover from the day before) but he seemed to be implying that we were some junkies coming down from a heroin fix. And aren't most people a little nervous before they get something permanent needled into their skin? No one needs that kind of karma, and I personally like to chat with the artist and feel comfortable while being inked, not receive an interrogation. Obviously LA has gotten into Von Shocks head and he thinks he's the greatest....nope. There are some fantastic artists out here in Lancaster, PA that would blast him out of the water. Pros: It's in LA Cons: Snotty owner
