03/11 My wife ordered the cinnamon French toast (slightly overcooked) while I had the easy over eggs, sourdough toast (chewy) and breakfast potatoes (amazingly good). Service this morning was excellent. We used an American Casino Guide (ACG) coupon.
12/10 We enjoyed 2 breakfasts at this restaurant on this trip - cinnamon French toast and easy over eggs with wheat toast and hash browns. There were not enough servers, but our entrees arrived piping hot.

09/10 My wife ordered the cinnamon French toast and I went with easy over eggs, whole wheat toast and potatoes. Service was excellent and both meals were well prepared . ACG coupon used.
09/09 The economy seems to be having a positive impact on service at Ellis as there were more servers than we have seen in the past. Our orders of vanilla French toast were served hot and as close to perfection as one could hope. ACG coupon used.

09/08 Ms. Westie ordered easy over eggs with wheat toast, home fries, bacon and coffee. I decided to go large by ordering a blackboard special ? 8 ounce steak, eggs, sourdough toast and home fries. Our food arrived promptly, but I was disappointed in the size of my steak in comparison to those at surrounding tables, mine was obviously the runt of the litter. ($8, ACG, 2.5 Forks)
12/06 We each ordered the ? rack of baby back ribs which were accompanied by cole slaw (tasteless), garlic toast (cold) and beans (under cooked). The ribs themselves were overdone. ($8.41, ACG, 1.5 Forks)
09/06 We have enjoyed numerous breakfasts at Ellis Island including a few during our recent vacation. My wife ordered easy over eggs with wheat toast, home fries, bacon and coffee. I decided to go large by ordering a blackboard special ? 8 ounce steak, eggs, sourdough toast and home fries. Our food arrived promptly, but I was disappointed in the size of my steak in comparison to those at surrounding tables, mine was obviously the runt of the litter.
On a second visit we each ordered the vanilla cinnamon French toast which was crisp and delicious. Service on both visits was very good.
We used 2/1 coupons from the American Casino Guide to make the already bargain priced meals even a better deal.
Pros: Low prices, very good breakfasts
