I don't usually post reviews but I noticed the negative review of Uptown Coffee posted earlier and wanted to respond. It sounds like that person had one bad experience there and that shouldn't have happened. But I've been to Uptown countless times over the years and have always received good and friendly service. The atmosphere is mellow (classic jazz often playing in the background) and the baked goods are the best in town, maybe the best I've ever tasted. (Check out the apple/walnut cake- amazing!) Espresso is first rate too. In my opinion, the best coffee house in Pittsburgh.
