Review content:
Upon booking the standard king room, I noticed the advertised room included a patio, 42 flat screen TV, desk w/chair, and king size bed. Once my guest and I were given our room #130 on 12/27, we noticed that the room did not include a patio, desk w/chair, or flat screen TV.
Rather, the room included no patio, only a sliding window, a barely functional 30 tube TV inside a cabinet, and no desk w/chair.
I called the front desk within 90 minutes after checking in, and ?Jill? said all rooms were sold out, and I would have to wait until the next morning to get the room that I paid for. The hotel staff, ?Jill?, also said I would be upgraded to a King Suite for the inconvenience.
This is not acceptable, and I have photos documenting the room we were issued. The next day my guest and I were inconveniently moved into the room which I originally paid for, and I was not upgraded as promised.
When I asked about the upgrade the hotel staff again claimed that the suites were booked. I simply had to repack everything the next day (12/28) in order to be moved into the room that I paid for on 12/27-12/30.
Upon check out I requested a credit of one night, but the front desk staff said that I would have to request any refund with Expedia.
In all, this trip was a major disappointment, and I will never recommend this hotel to any friends, family, or colleagues. Expedia was unable to offer me any refund, and the hotel denied any refund. Avoid at all costs!
UPDATE: After several weeks of calls to Expedia and the Hotel, Expedia has offered a coupon for my next trip, and the Hotel agreed to refund the first night, and offer me a gift certificate for one night on my next stay.
