I am incredibly disappointed in the way I was treated today at the Quiznos at 2422 W. Brandon Blvd Brandon, FL. I typically spend $300-$400 a month at sandwich shops for our employees in providing lunches at our agent meetings, we usually use Subway. A colleague and I went to the Staples next door to this Quiznos and decided to go for an early lunch. I had not been to a Quiznos in years and thought we could try it out and ask if they do group orders or catering. Unfortunately we arrived 15 minutes before the opened so the doors were locked. We sat in the metal chairs along the outside of the store. The two of us began our meeting and lost track of time. We were there for an hour and 15 minutes, so they had been open one hour and that whole time I only observed one customer visited the store. The manager came out and said, ?You have been sitting here and haven?t purchased anything. If you want to stay, you need toned to go inside and buy something NOW, or leave.? I am in the business of customer service and helping people. Blasting someone like that is rude and inappropriate. What makes it worse is that she told me she was the ?owner? of this specific store. I did not share with her my intention of asking about catering because after her utter disregard of manners I had no interest in giving her any business. I asked her if she would rather we go across the street and eat at Moe?s, and she replied ?yes?. I would have though a store that was getting no business on a Wednesday morning would say something like, ?would you guys like to come on in from out of the heat and buy a couple drink or maybe lunch?? Not, ?you?re taking up 2 chairs on the outside of my business that has no customers inside.? And by inside, I mean there were only employees inside the store. We stood up, walked the 50 yards to Moe?s and spent $20. I am sure the owner does not care about my $20. Maybe she doesn?t care about the potential $3600-$4800 I spend annually at sandwich shops for our team. She apparently doesn?t care how she treats others. I feel bad for the employees that work for her. If she treats her prospective customers like that, how does she train her people to treat others. I wonder if this is the culture that Quiznos encourages among its franchise owners. That is unfortunate. You know darn well I will never user her store. As an active member of the local small business community, I use local stores and businesses. How you treat you community is an example of what you think of them. Careless.
