I was happy that I was able to get a loan through them as I do have very bad credit mainly die to student loans. I knew the interest rate was ridiculous but I needed a car and I know that having recurring payments on a loan would help my credit and if/when I wanted a newer car I could go through someone else with a better rate based on this payment history. Sooooooo I made 14 payments (my loan is only for 24 months) on time or early, NEVER late, not even by 1 day. One month I did run into an unexpected expense and I had to pay my payment 10 days after the initial due date though this was till technically on time. I called, paid by check (i normally send a money order) and thought that was it. I get a call about 9 days later from them saying I never paid. Turns out the women whom I gave my account info to did not enter the numbers correctly. I also made a mistake thinking the money had been taken out so I used money in my account for another bill. Two mistakes, which I admitted to directly to them. I explained that I could not pay all this upfront, I made an error as did they and how could we work this out. A payment arrangement for that payment or I asked if there was any way they could add 1 payment on to the end and let me skip that month (which most finance companies do allow once per year). It took me three people to explain this to since the first 2 did not speak English well. They were very very very rude acting like I have made many payments late and reminding me about their repossession policies in very threatening tones. This was directly from the manager JAY who spoke in an extremely condescending a$$hole tone to me the entire time. He said my past payment history of always being on time had nothing to do with what we were discussing and he need the money in 5 days etc., etc. I explained I could not have it that fast. He said there is nothing they could do I must pay 2 payments at once.He said to me (exact words) ""well maybe you should think twice about going out and spending money that you need to pay your bills with. If your car is that important to you then watch how you spend your money"" Can you believ this $hit???? I screamed at him and then hung up. I was at risk of getting my car reposssesed over 1 late payment of less than $400....BS! I was able to secure another loan for the rest of what I woed to Clover so I paid the car off as a final F$%^ YOU to Clover.
