Review content:
I was involved in a minor accident with a truck from this construction company while they were carrying construction equipment on the back of a flat bed trailer through my hometown of Springfield, MO back in Sept of 2010. It was labeled wide load on the tractor trailer but they did NOT have a lead car or any car behind the vehicle warning people about their wide load. I was parked at the intersection of Kearney and West Bypass in rush hour traffic while one of Geeding Construction's drivers thought it wise to bring his wide load into the turning lane to turn left going east bound on Kearney. The load was so wide that the whole side of the trailer scraped my suburban and took my side mirror off during the process. I had to wait for my light to turn green to go ahead and turn around and try to follow the truck to stop him. He couldn't see me as his mind was obviously set on other things. I called my insurance company to make a report and they informed me that if I couldn't get Geeding Construction to pull over there was nothing that a police report could do for me so I didn't file a police report. Thinking that this construction company would have the integrity to confess to the screw up I called them and talked with the owner and he assured me they would pay for the damages. He sent me to the Chevy dealer to get an estimate on repairs; which I did. The dealer sent Geeding Construction the estimate for repairs and they then denied that they were involved in the accident. My insurance company tried calling them multiple times to talk with the driver of the truck but conveniently they had no response and did NOT admit fault. So now, I'm stuck with a scraped up vehicle and broken mirror because of a dishonest company. If they will do this for a $1000 dollar repair fee what will they do when it comes to working with your THOUSANDS of dollars? Integrity is KEY when it comes to a construction business and I don't feel that this company will fit the bill for me when I go to hire someone in the future....you too should think about it!
