If you have other options, do not come here if you are on AHCCCS. They do not get paid the same as they would with any other HMO or PPO and therefore treat you with less regard. I had a surgery that I had been waiting for for over a year, and after seeing several doctors I was finally referred to this group; specifically, Dr. 'Aria'. My AHCCCS was going to term and they were quite aware of this, though I was not. It didn't occur to me at the time that the reason I was not getting immediate appointments for pre-operative procedures was because they were just waiting for the coverage to expire and wouldn't have to perform the expensive surgery. I did have one hope the day before surgery, in which I had to prove to the Department of Economic Security that I indeed had a surgery scheduled. I contacted the surgery scheduler, 'Renie' to have her send me an email with the schedule information, and I explained why I needed it. I shouldn't have told her though, because it never got sent that day. She claims she tried to send it but got a mailer daemon. Whether or not that is true, she should have still contacted me so I could have provided other email addresses. I was persistent in trying to contact her to find out why I wasn't receiving the email, and even left messages, but never heard back until the next day when she knew it would be too late. Her response to me was (in a very sarcastic tone), ""If you'd like to pay out of pocket, we can perform the surgery"" Obviousy if I was on AHCCCS I would have no such money to pay for this, you stupid c*nt. If it wasn't for this comment, I wouldn't wish terrible things to happen to her and her family, but now I do. I cannot stress enough to stay away from this institution if you're on AHCCCS. You will be treated like garbage. The names mentioned above are not the real names, but you can scramble them around to know who I'm talking about. I Cons: Everything
