I have eaten at a lot of Thai places. And I do mean a lot, I count them in the dozens. It is far and away my favorite type of food, and I make a point of trying every Thai restaurant that I come across. I will admit that my sample size here is small, as I have only eaten here once, and I didn't even order an appetizer. What I did get though is a Thai standard and one that I have eaten at many restaurants and a good place to start a comparison. That dish of course was Red Curry. The curry was extremely sweet, sweeter than all but a handful of the places I have eaten at, but it melded the sweetness with a heart richness that made it exceptional rather than just sweet. The pork in it was prepared well and the spice level was very accurate and perfectly prepared for how I requested it. The atmosphere and decor is nice, and the fact its in an old house is quaint, but Thai places tend to always be decorated nicely and I would just consider it normal rather than something to hang its hat on. There was one problem though, the service was actually rather terrible and I had to wait for my drink to be refilled more than once. Not really a good thing when you are eating a very spicy dish. This is of course inexcusable for a restaurant of any ilk at all. Overall though the food is very tasty and if you are in midtown give it a try. Its not so much better than other Thai places though that I would drive out of downtown to eat there or if another Thai place was closer. I.E. the one downtown. Pros: Good food, intimate dining. Cons: Poor Service
