Review content:
I was there attending a b-day party this past weekend. Upon entering we were told that we must pay for a buffet before we would be allowed in. I informed the young lady at the counter that we were there for a b-day party and were not interested in eating. We had eaten before we came. We had been here before and didn't care for the food. I was told again that we would not be permitted to enter until we paid. I offered to purchase a drink and that still was not sufficient. The host of the b-day party overheard this discussion and came to pay for those of us trying to get in. I asked to speak to the manager and informed him what my intentions were. I explained that we had eaten before we came and that we were not going to partake of the buffet. I was then told that people come in for b-day parties all the time taking up space, loitering and eating from the buffet when they haven't paid therefor it was their policy to charge everyone. I felt as though he was accusing me of trying to rip them off. I had every intention of paying for everything me & my family drank. I also planned on spending money in the arcade and on the little toys they offer for the children. The manager told me that if it were not for the b-day party goers that he would be able to fill the place and make all that money. I decided my complaints were falling on deaf ears and walked away. The host of the party I was attending remained and overheard the manager complaining to his employees about us, using degrading language and calling names. I observed the crowd that came into the establishment for the next 2 hours that I was there. There were 6 parties that took up several tables, and 4 of the remaining 18 or so tables did get occupied. It is my opinion that without these ""inconvenient"" party goers Hungry Bear Pizza would go out of business. I also feel that they should treat all of their patrons with more respect. I will not return to this establishment. Pros: Good for kids Cons: All other aspects of this establishment
