Review content:
I went to Dr. Martin in October with a chipped tooth. After several x-rays and such he said i was going to need two fillings. I said i would set up my appointment after I received my reimbursement from the insurance company. I had to call again 4 months later because they had forgotten to send my information to the insurance company. Then I went in to get my procedure done. Apparently (since i was sedated) once of my fillings couldn't be completed because I was going to need a root canal instead. They did a ""double filling"" on the other side of my mouth. They wrote me a prescription for an antibiotic for an infection in a tooth and sent me on my way. After leaving and getting my prescription filled I called back about eating and they said I was all set and I was able to do anything. A week or so later i was in so much pain, I had to go back. I sit down in the chair and the assistant asks me if I got my root canal finished that they had partially started. This is my first time hearing that they didn't fill that tooth but instead put medicine in it and I needed a root canal. HOW DO YOU FORGET TO TELL YOUR PATIENT THAT THEY NEED A ROOT CANAL? Then i had to also go back two more separate times because I was still unable to chew anything on my filling and if anything hot or cold touches it I am in severe pain. Both times, they said it was probably just a ""bite adjustment"" and sanded down my bite on that side of my mouth. After yet another appointment I am in more pain that I have ever been in and now they are saying maybe the tooth is infected and gave me yet another prescription and told me i might need a root canal on that tooth too!
Not to mention, I paid the $1200 bill upfront after I was told they accepted my dental insurance. Come to find out I was only going to get reimbursed a little over $200 because yes, they accept it, but they do not PARTICIPATE with them!
So now, I may need 2 root canals, one of which I was not told about until i came back because i was unable to eat and the second one because it's infected inside my filling that they filled a few months ago! This just doesn't seem right....
Also, when I wrote an email to Dr. Martin, he did not respond to me in any way until I set up an appointment a week later because I still could not eat on anything but my front two teeth.
Pros: A nice dental hygenist
Cons: EVERYTHING ELSE!
