My 5 year old son attended art-n-fun studio on 6/11/10 for 1 day camp. The studio provides a day camp and for additional $5 can provide a kid with pizza. My husband dropped our son and his friend after 9am and checked with Lisa how much to pay for the camp and pizza, she confirmed few times that it is OK to pay when we pick up the kid at 4pm. My friend came to pick up her and my son at 4pm and realized that that lady forgot to buy lunch for my son and my little boy was hungry for the entire day. My son told me that when other kids were eating pizza he was asking for pizza too but the woman said ?your parents should pay for it?. Nobody called me to check why my kid stayed w/o lunch. The lunch bag that I gave my son for breakfast was untouched since as Lisa told me on phone ?we are not a daycare and won?t serve breakfast after 9am???? My son was told by me that he?ll get pizza for lunch and was waiting for it the entre day. On 6/15/10 when I talked to Lisa on the phone she screamed at me that my son is a demanding and difficult kid and should not attend camp, that he can?t listen and follow directions and they are not a daycare. I was shocked to hear all of this from a childcare person. Just to cover her ass because she forgot to buy food for a five year old boy she yelled at me blaming my son to be hard to take care of. And she hangs up on me, which is totally terrible and inappropriate. My son is a smart, curios and kind boy who listens to his teachers in the preschool and follows their direction. I?ve never heard a single complaint about his ability to listen and behave well. So may be he was difficult because he was HUNGRY and you forgot to feed him??? Don?t trust this facility, on 6/11/10 they forgot to feed a kid, next time they may forget a kid in a park. The staff doesn?t care and very impolite. This was the worst childcare experience I?ve had in my life.
