Review content:
Sorry that Beverly7 didn't enjoy what has become one of our favorite restaurants. Recently went on a Sunday and I admit the staff could stand some fine tuning. Typical Applebee...""hiya guys (as I, a male sit with my wife and her elderly aunt), no name offerred, etc... Beyond that this restaurant has provided choice prime rib to customers for years. They continue to offer what they do best. Specials, so-called are another story. My only comment to Beverly7 is that Easter is almost up there with Mother's Day and Valentines for an almost guaranteed eating disaster. While she was the birthday girl (happy 100!) whoever was the ""host"" or ""hostess"" should have made arrangement ahead of time so as to guarantee the results or at least improve them. Regarding the owner not stopping by (and no, I am not related to him), considering it was a holiday....perhaps he was BUSY. But then again Bev...you could have asked for him. Give this grand dame (I'm referring to the restaurant) another try. The lounge is great in the Fall and Winter when they have a fire roaring. Ask for Annie, the bartender with a heart of gold and a very steady pour! There rolls and breads are homemade and delicious and the rochefort dressing is too. Enjoy!
Pros: Plenty of parking. Easy access to major highways. Well spaced tables.
Cons: Specials are iffy.
