Review content:
This is a very clean and nice looking facility that seems to be able to afford all its fancy amenities based on performing unnecessary work! My 4 year old son was a patient here. My husband took him in for an appointment and was told he would need to come in for two fillings. This turned out to be an awful experience where they tried to force my son to have laughing gas which I had specifically requested not to have given to him. Then they poked his gum and he started bleeding a decent amount. When he said ""ow"" and started crying instead of stopping and letting him calm down, the held him down and threatened him with comments like ""if you don't hold still you won't be able to go home with Mommy tonight!"" Then when they finished they proceeded to tell me that I was an irresponsible parent for not forcing him to have the laughing gas and that I had made it so he would have a life long fear of dentists. They then told me he had 5 more fillings that he needed done and that they would have to redo these ones because they had only put in temporary fillings. The dentist said she wouldn't work on him any more without him being sedated.
I decided to seek out a second opinion and I am so glad I did! After a full set of x-rays today at another dentist, turns out my son is cavity free and that he doesn't need any additional fillings. In addition, the ones they put in don't need to be replaced. Now I wonder if he even needed the original fillings :( My son was calm and happy through the whole appointment and in my opinion, everyone at Dr. Gjerede's office from the receptionists to the dental hygenist, to the dental assistant and Dr. Gjerede himself handled my son with more nurturing than what is supposed to be a dental facility specifically designed for kids!
