Review content:
Great place to bring a first date, or for an anniversary. Great outdoor seating. A large fire pit with metallic blue rocks covering the gas flame. Also some couch seating available for cocktails and plenty of table tops for dining. Very surprised to see some of the low ratings for the Paradise Grille.
I have been here twice and have had zero complaints thus far. Granted, you cannot escape the Grille for less than $20 per person, but it is a fine dining establishment in Del Mar, which is to be expected.
Took my girlfriend for our 6 month celebration. The waiter was very kind. We ordered Louis Martin Cabernet, which I recommend.
Split a pizza as an appetizer and you will leave with leftovers. We had the appropriately named Del Mar, and nearly got through all of it.
She ordered an Ahi Sandwich, which they made special off the lunch menu for her because it was about 7:00. I ordered a pesto and chicken pasta which was very flavorful and had a perfect ratio of chicken to pasta to tomatoes.
It was a very pleasant evening. Just make sure you sit down stairs on the patio, and you won't regret it.
