With new ownership, Daylight Donuts has become a welcome addition to dining options in Minneapolis. The interior is bright and smoke free (a problem in the past). A wide variety of donuts is offered daily, including cake, glazed, long johns, inventive bismarcks (s'mores, chocolate banana, strawberry shortcake), twists, holes, pine cones, fritters, honey buns, caramel knots, and several others. Fresh baked bread is offered on Tuesdays with salad purchase, fresh scones on Wednesday, muffins on Thursday, bagels with choice of flavored or plain cream cheese on Friday, specialty baked sweet rolls on Friday and Saturday. Also, lunches are served...salads/soups on Tuesday, sub sandwiches on Wednesday, BBQ beef on Thursday, and Cajun pie on Friday. Wraps are offered every day in several varieities. There is always something new at Daylight! Pros: Good Variety, Reasonable Price Cons: Slower service, Limited hours
