Kingsport is a small town.Plus we all read the newspapers and know what is going on. Talk to Toyota and Lexus owners locally and ask about their experience... I have, and wish I had prior to trading in Kingsport! I recently purchased from Toyota of Kingsport and highly regret it. Have had issues that could have caused a serious wreck. Clean carfax does not mean anything. Detail crews camo to perfection, just wait until you wash it the first time. I have barely driven my vehicle and the tran is messed up. WTH! And when I heard they were going to resale my trade in I almost had a stroke. It had duct tape on it AND they knew I had the head gasket replaced last year. I left them EVERY invoice. It was driveable, but NOT in my opinion something that a dealership should be selling. Had I known before I purchased that they would even consider turning around and selling my old vehicle instead of selling it for parts I would had ran, not walked away and never came back. I found out they were going to resale my trade in after the deal was done. Too late now. I'm stuck with the problems on a newer model and now have a car payment and about to drop big $ on my old car which I was trying to avoid by trading up. I hid nothing from them, left them EVERY INVOICE. It's barely been a month and I am already considering trading again. I recently met a person who drove all the way to Maryland to buy his 2010 Prius. His friend works at a dealership and had the inside scoop. Kingsport was trying to take him for a ride he didn't wish to go on. He was better off spending his time and gas money driving all the way to Maryland than dealing with Kingsport. I wish I had waited it out and have learned ""buying local"" isn't always good.
