Review content:
My wife and I love this practice! We have 4 school-aged children and usually one of them is sick. Kids 1st has 2 offices and there are about 6 docs and 2 PAs so we can always get in the day we call and since they have late nights 4 days per week I can bring them in after work or after their sports practice. Although it appears to be a big practice we can always make an appointment for their school and sports physicals with the doc we want (boys to Dr Forletti, girls to Dr Oleszak) so we get the individualized attention we want. The office can do blood work right there and get the results in minutes - we don't have to wait - or like some practices come in for another visit (and co-pay) just to discuss the results. Everybody is there to help from the receptionists (who always help with forms, etc) to the people in billing (help straighten out the insurance mess). The rooms are clean and the floors sparkle!
Let me share a few thoughts about small practices. When we had our first girl my wife and I thought a solo pediatrician would be the way to go - it was good for us and it would be good for our honey. Forget about that paradigm - that ship has sailed! Our first doctor had only 1 late night a week; except for our initial interview with her we always saw a nurse practitioner; the office was often closed because she needed a day off or was on vacation - we had to drive to a few different docs offices over the first year.
Do yourself - and your kids - a favor, visit Kids 1st and talk to the docs and see for yourself what the office has to offer.
