Review content:
I enjoyed lunch at Luckyfish on a weekday. Sure, I was leery of the conveyor-belt delivery system, despite the special system they have of pulling unselected dishes off after a specified period of time. Though some dishes suffer from this approach, such as the miso-glazed tempura rock shrimp, basic sushi fared fairly well. Their simple cucumber and seaweed sunomono was excellent. The menu is varied enough to suit anyone who enjoys Japanese food. The service was excellent, and our server was happy to replace our slightly doughy tempura shrimp from the conveyor with a nice, hot, crispy order directly from the kitchen. The short rib special needed a bit of work, as it was a tad too salty and was far too chewy; perhaps some braising or pressure-cooking would have helped. Pros: super quick, decent sushi, great service, interesting format Cons: some dishes missed the mark
