On Aug. 1, 2011, I purchased a latex pillow from them for $48.95. The next day I tried to return it and they told me store policy is not to take returns on personal items but I should leave the pillow and my receipt with them and they will ask the manager when he comes back from vacation. I stopped by the store 1 week later on Aug. 8th and they told me they threw the pillow and my receipt out and would not give me store credit or another pillow. That day I called Alan Laytner, owner of this store, and he told me he didn't see why they wouldn't issue me store credit but he would have to speak with the store manager. I called Alan a couple days later and he told me they did in fact throw my pillow and receipt out and even though I can prove the charge through my credit card company, he would have to waive his own policy on me having the pillow and receipt in hand, and I should call back. I left messages twice for him and stopped by the store 2 times and yesterday, Aug. 12th they told me they would not give me store credit or another pillow. In essence, I paid for an item, they threw it out, admitted they threw it out and would not make good on it. I WOULD STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM ANY OF THEIR STORES. THEY ARE THIEVES AND CANNOT BE TRUSTED. I have also filed a complaint with the NYC Dept. of Consumer Affairs.
