In January I purchased I sectional couch from value city furniture that was set to be delivered 5 days later, on day 4 I received a phone call that it would be delayed 2 weeks, on this same day the front page of there weekly ad was the same sectional couch. When I went in the store to see what they could do for the inconvenience I got a very rude response ? well your already getting free delivery were in the business of making money not giving it?. So 2 weeks pass and I get another call stating were not going to have any till late march at the earliest. When I asked for the manager the assistant manager said she could call her and we could speak to her, she walked away from the service desk for 20 mins talking on the phone with her, could see her clear as day talking, came back and said she could not talk to us because she was driving and it was unsafe (20 mins!) and we would have to come back later in the week. when I asked for a corporate number the gave me a 1800 voice mail only number they has yet to call me back. I could get a refund if I had my receipt still but were talking over a month ago now (I don't know where that?s at) and why get a store credit when it could take months to get anything anyways the reason for my story is to not only inform people but also to ask what can you do about it, I know there?s the BBB but I?ve heard that?s a waist of time and small claims would take forever plus thats not really how I want to go about it. If you reverse the roll and give me the couch over a month ago and I pay in 4 or 5 weeks or later there?s going to be interest how can they get away with this?!?!
