I'm writing this positive review because I found a few bad reviews mixed in with the mostly excellent ones on a couple of sites. I've been taking my cats to Bastet Cat Hospital for nearly eight years and I couldn't be happier with them. Dr Basilious is excellent with my cats; he knows how to calm a cat after a ride in the car and he is always gentle while examining the patients. This is the only vet I've known who regularly takes the time to explain his diagnoses and always discusses treatment options, as he realizes that everyone has different priorities and financial situations. He gives his recommendations and leaves it up to the client to decide how they can and want to proceed. I have never been charged for any service I didn't receive, and in fact the doctor has often reduced or eliminated fees to thank me for my continuing loyalty to the hospital. Just an added bonus to my allover good experiences here; I gladly pay slightly higher fees in exchange for a cats-only environment with up-to-date equipment, medicine, and veterinary knowledge . . . and a caring, considerate doctor! I recommend Baster Cat Hospital to everyone who loves their cat.
