Review content:
My first impression of Superstar Karate was that it doesn't look like any other school I have practiced at before, it's a lot better; I have over 5 years experience total in both Shotokan Karate and Brazilian Jui-Jitsu styles and have experienced quite a few schools. I love practicing at this location and not just because of the environment. What I was looking for in a martial art school is effective self-defense, cardiovascular workout, and quality teaching: Effective self-defense is much more difficult than it might seem. I'm a petite woman, who is all of 5 feet tall, and I don't have the weight and power of 6 foot man. Because of my size, I need to practice truly practical self-defense. So far, I'm very satisfied with what is being taught from an effective technique perspective. Since I break a hard sweat and breathe heavy in every class, I must say I've been consistently happy with using martial arts class for all my cardio needs... thus my opening statement. As for quality teaching, well, they are very much Good at their craft.
