The Carefree Senior Apartment's grounds are surrounded in beautiful roses. The grounds are kept very nice. However, I would recommend this apartment complex to seniors who smoke. Behind all those beautiful roses are cigarette butts everywhere. The management does not support nonsmokers. This was an ongoing battle when I resided at this apartment complex. The manager smokes and the entire office staff with the exception of one smoked. They smoke in the swimming pool area, in the parking lot, at the front entrance. It is not just the management, they encourage others to behave badly with their unhealthy habits. If you have breathing problems please do not live here or let your family members stay at this senior apartment. There is absolutely no respect for your health at all. They believe because they have cheaper prices they have the right to treat seniors' health with disrespect. When I spoke to management about the smoking in the common areas (which is where she takes her cigarette breaks) she became hostile and defensive of her cigarettes. You'd think I was trying to take heroin from her. It was awful. The apartments themselves are nice (nothing special). They are definitely a cheap alternative to a assistant living facility.
