I went on Valentine's day and if I had been going with a date (vs. my father) I would have been even more disappointed than I was. We sat at the bar while waiting for our table. However there was no bar service nor were we ever told this until we finally asked a server. She said they were trying not to give bar service because they were short handed. When we sat down our server suggested we order drinks and dinner right up front. Not quite the ""dining experience"" I had expected. It reminded me of a diner instead. We did not get our drinks until after we finished our very unpleasant salads and after 2 requests. My father ordered his filet ""well, well, well."" The server wrote it done as such. However when it arrived it was about as rare as it could be. I could see being conservative and sending it out medium well...but it was rare. Even a junior chef would not have made such a huge mistake. It was apparent that this was not a well trained staff for a restaurant of this supposed caliber. The servers were running around frantically. The gentlemen delivering the meals spent 1/2 the time looking for the right table. The person who appeared to be the manager didn't seem the least bit concerned when made aware that our drinks were slow in coming. I would have also expected the manager to come to our table to apologize for the situation with the filet. I consider myself a lover of fine dining and have no problems with spending $100 to $200 for dinner. for two..but for $150 I would have honestly preferred a meal at Moe's down the street. A complete and utter disappointment.
