great central location- close to everything including the T. the problems started upon check-in. We booked a smoking room and didnt get it. I am reasonable and understand that checking in at a later hour may not guarantee me the room I wanted- fine. but my friend and I were placed in a room on the first floor with a view of some sort of scaffolding. the window was broken (almost fell on my head), the tv cabinet would not open (we had to put a scarf through the handle to pull it open) and the toilet overflowed at 1am. upon several attempts to plunge the toilet by a man who told us ""this happens often"" we were told by front desk to ""use the lobby bathroom"" until the next morning. Unacceptable to pay for a room and have to use the lobby bathroom like we were in a college dorm. we demanded to be moved and were moved that very night (after 1am) to a much better room which made us wonder they would stick us in an obviously defective 1st floor room when a better one was available. for our troubles we got a breakfast coupon each. would not stay here ever again. Pros: great location Cons: everything else
