I have been to many hair salons, in multiple cities, and Van Cleef stands above them all. Most salons that I've been to have 1. stylists who don't listen to how you want your hair styled and who prefer to do their ""own thing"" 2. a snooty staff that makes you feel like YOU'RE the one who should be grateful they even let you in the place, and 3. stylists who double, or even quadruple book their appointments. This is what has,in the past, angered me the most. On more than on occasion I've had a 10am appointment and didn't get out until 3pm. Van Cleef is the opposite of all of that. I've never had to wait for more than 10 minutes to get into my stylists chair (Evvy) and she's always done within an hour. The proprietor, Rahni,and his staff are ALWAYS friendly and make you feel like Van Cleef is a home way from home. My stylist, Evvy, works wonders with my Natural Hair (which most salon's I've been to have been unable to tame) and always listens to what I want and implements my requests. I would also recommend Cori, who's made my hair beautiful on several occasions. She's also very punctual and always makes sure you're in and out in a reasonable period of time. When you go, let them know Dana sent you!
