I went to this salon ahead of an Award Ceremony + Wedding I was to attend. I googled 'best salon NYC' and this one came up so I figured it was worth taking a chance on a new salon. The woman who did my hair completely botched my color job. My roots were red and the rest of my hair was dark. I looked like a skunk with one weird streak going down the middle of my head and everyone at work the next day couldn't believe I went to a top salon and left looking like I NEEDED a salon. (after paying 150 dollars). When I called to complain and insisted I come back so they fix it for free, they agreed. I had to leave work in order to get my hair fixed, as it was already Friday and my two big events were taking place Saturday. They kept me there 4 hours fixing my hair, with Rodolfo himself telling me not to let just anyone touch my hair again. He failed to understand it was HIS stylist that messed up my hair to begin with. THEN after this service when I missed half a day of work, they had the audacity to charge me another 250 dollars. They said they did not charge me for the color, but for the decartage. I was so angry I couldn't even speak. I will NEVER go to this salon again. The first colorist was awful, and Rodolfo himself was unapologetic. They should have paid ME for my inconvenience of missing half a day at work + taxi ride to go back and get my hair fixed. Total jerk-offs and too snooty for me. If I could get them NO stars, I would.
