Review content:
On June 8, 2011, I wrote the review titled "Appalling" after a very upsetting experience with Dr. Nikki Siebert. My outstanding experience with The Cat Doctor since then has demonstrated absolutely that my prior review reflects solely on Dr. Siebert and NOT The Cat Doctor's owner, staff, and standard of care for their patients and clients. The owner of the practice, Dr. Christensen, took my concern very seriously, and assured me that Dr. Siebert's conduct was a problem they had become aware of and were addressing. Dr. Christensen offered to personally take over the care of my cat, and her expertise and compassion for all cats and their people was evident in her efforts to find ways to diagnose and treat him that were within my means and in the best interests of his quality of life. She went above and beyond to make care affordable and accessible and did more to make my cat comfortable in the last year of his life than any other vet I had taken him to in his 11 years. This has continued to be true for my other cats as well. Their specialized, in-depth knowledge of cats makes them a truly unique and invaluable resource. I also love that they are very devoted to helping cats in need. They work with local animal shelters, taking in rescued strays, providing them with complete care and rehabilitation, and finding them adoptive homes. I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants the best care for their cat, and to anyone who wants to support their much needed efforts to help homeless cats in our community. Their staff is also very knowledgeable and caring, and I have noticed that Dr. Siebert is no longer with the practice.
