Review content:
I had heard this place has possibly the best NY strip, so I had to go investigate. A little frightened by the prices we decided to try it out. Your typical nice steakhouse setting, the service was really good. The server was polite & knowledgeable. They set the table with sourdough bread & 2 spreads that were really good. We reviewed the menu & went with what we had intended..steaks! The steaks come with no sides so you have to pick your choice pricey sides. For starters, my wife & I split the Fleming's salad which was pretty good. For sides we chose the snap peas, which were spectacular, snow peas, shallots or red onions, strips of carrots (and maybe some garlic) in a soy sauce & we also ordered the macaroni & cheese which was really good also, the chipotle gave it a nice little kick. Then the steaks, my wife had the filet mignon which she devoured & I had the ny strip. My ny strip was excellent; the beef itself was star here, just cooked with salt & cracked pepper then finished with butter & chopped parsley. The seasonings were there just to enhance the flavor of the steak. The perfectly cooked the beef was tender & I caught myself going "mmm" uncontrollably. I certainly paid top dollar for my food but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I'll be back for some more research on our next special occasion.
