I will make my long story as short as possible. I had been with the same hairdresser for 14 years. I left him, not because I didn't like the way he cut my hair. I left him because he always ran late. Cancelled appointments. Changed salons. Asked me to read his blackberry as he cut my hair. Left me sitting in the chair with wet hair as he drank his coffee in the back or took a phone call. So on it went. I decided I had enough!! I starting asking friends and doing hair salon research on City Search. 6 months ago I found a place on here that was highly recommended. It cost about the same $$$ as my previous guy. So ok. You can't put a price on good hair. So after two tries and one hair adjustment I was very disappointed and left with uneven hair. I waited two months for my hair to grow a bit and decided from these reviews that I should see Rita. Well she does live up to everything written about her. My hair looks great. She fixed the uneven cut and made me look cute. I confess that it took me two days of sitting with the style to realize...it's soo wonderful. I trust her completely. I'm so going back and I hope she never leaves there. It helps that she's really nice and just seems to know her stuff. Thank you Rita!!
Pros: Rita. She lives up to the hype
Cons: the place is a dive..BUT it's a real New York experience
