I have to say, my first Astor Place experience was a really good one thanks to Rita, who is a really great stylist and a cool and sweet person as well. I was very apprehensive at first about trying a new salon and stylist, but Rita was highly recommended to me by my friend who has gone to her 3 or 4 times before and has very nice things to say about her. I must say her hair has never looked better. I first spoke to Rita on the phone before I even met her so I could let her know what hairstyle I was looking for and if she could help me. She was very polite and courteous on the phone answering all of my questions, no problem. I felt really good about setting an appoinment with her and getting a great new cut like my friend. Rita is very popular there and very busy, but she is patient has a really great rapport with her clients which I feel is very important. Well, I must say she turned out to better than I could have ever hoped for! She is extremely talented, articulate and funny too! I had a fun time and my hair came out so cool! She knew exactly what I wanted and I left there feeling that I finally found someone I could go to again and again! I am definitely going back for a color change, maybe highlights and one of her specialty facials in her private room. I would feel comfortable sending anyone I know to Rita. Astor Place and Rita are defintely worth the trip! Five Stars for sure...
Pros: Easy to get to, affordable. Rita is a great stylist!
