I was looking for a different experience other than my usual very expensive mediocre haircut, highlights and facial; and I found exemplary work at of all places - Astor Place Hair!!! Who knew such a gem as Rita would be tucked away in the city creating such beauty and healing? I say healing because any time you walk out of a place and feel wonderful, you have experienced relaxation - which to me is healing. I am a Beauty Editor and have been to "the best" places all over the country. I found my beauty secret (Rita) with all of her easy-to-do beauty advice and honest hands on approach in an affordable place in the East Village. Her private Reiki room is spotless and welcoming, and she is a classy addition to the landmark Astor Place Hair. She is confident and has a kind, peaceful way about her-much unlike any other "Star Artists" I have been to in the past. Rita is humble and elegant and you will love and trust her instincts her as much as I do. Her makeup work is stunning and natural. You will look and feel as if you just came back from vacation. Her Reiki facial is a welcome relief to stressed skin, and you will positively glow. As a beauty professional myself, I respect Rita for all of her hard work, and genuinely appreciate the beauty she has manifested for me. Namaste, Rita!
