I have seriously suffered from salon to salon for over 5 years and tired of spending salon prices. I was in the area one day, and came across Astor Place and thought to myself, not expensive, let me give this a try. I walked in and was led to Suzie. I explained to her explicitly what I prefer which were highlights and low lights with a cut that compliments me and what I do not wish for is a shorter cut, highlights that are too thick and a(n) overall color that is too dark. Before she started, she explained to me which options I had for my cut and color as a stylist of _40_years. I understood that she was in fact a stylist, b/c she has the experience and not just some female who is new to the industry. I was still so paranoid because of my very bad past experiences and Suzie kept reassuring me and kept answering my every remark, commment and question with such professionalism, that anyone else would have told me, "please get up and leave". You have to understand, I have to look sharp for my clientele......! I was looking throughout the whole process, when she finally was blowdrying my hair and the actual color of my hair and style of my cut was in full blown detail, I was ecstatic. The feeling I had was undescribable. I had meetings, errands, and literally everywhere I went either I would have people ask me where I had my color and style done or I would find myself admiring my own self...You can tell when a stylist is a stylist, the way that they maneuver there hands. I recommend her highly with no reservations and great conscience. If you are tired of bland cuts, wrong coloring,........go to Suzie, sit in her chair and close your eyes.!!!
