Review content:
To the people who hated this place, I understand; it's not for everyone. Sounds like you'd be happier going to Supercuts. The people at Astor have their own styles and way of doing things. Any good relationship takes time. If you think you can walk into any place, cheap or expensive, and be totally happy with the first person you tried, you're delusional. I had a to try a few different barbers, and rely on word of mouth, but once I found him, I stuck with him for 16 years+. I've moved a bit during that time, but whenever I was in NY, I would go back and be treated great, while wishing I could get a haircut just a good in my new home. Now I'm back in NY for good, and back to Astor, using the best barber in NYC...Jay. His brother Dr. Mike is really good too.
