I am a former Mechanic and I now run a free service that rates and reviews automotive repair facilities for those people who are looking for an honest a reputable place to have their vehicles repaired. I go from shop to shop with several different vehicles loaned to me from friends and family and take them in to have them inspected for possible problems. All of my finding are posted on my website which I am not allowed to list here. After visiting the Meineke on Harrison ave in Harrison Ohio I was told my vehicle was in need of several repairs totaling almost $900.00. I then took the vehicle, a 2006 Ford Taurus, back to my garage to verify the suggested repairs. Not only could I not confirm any of the recommended repairs but I also found damage to the front right brake caliper and rotor that was not previously there. Many of the parts listed on the repair estimate I was given were marked up over 200% above retail. Please, if you need you vehicle repaired, avoid this location unless you don't mind over paying for repairs and parts that you didn't need in the first place.
