Review content:
On Oct 22, 2011, College Park Yoga had a Vampire Yoga class. My friend had purchased tickets for myself and her to go for my birthday, however I was too sick to go anywhere. We called them to let them know, so that it would open the space up for others to go and was told by Teresa, the owner that she appreciated me calling because she did have others that wanted to do the class. I didn't even think to ask about a refund. I recently have felt much better and thought to email about the refund or class credit. I was informed that there are no refunds or credits no matter what the circumstance and that someone else used our tickets. I wrote back asking if they resold the tickets or just gave away the tickets that we paid for. Teresa said that as with all ""events"" if you purchase a ticket and can't go you have to take it as a loss. She said this works with movie tickets, plays, even basketball games. However, movie theaters do refund your money and play and basketball tickets are resold so that makes no sense to me. And just because it was ""vampire yoga"" does not make it an event comparable to a basketball game etc., it is still a yoga CLASS. She also told me that she and Calvin are the mere directors of the studio and were not authorized to make transactions such as refunds but on sunbiz they are listed as the only two registered agents. If she lied to me once, I have no doubt that she lied about not reselling the tickets and made $50/ticket off of us that evening.
As a business owner myself, I would never treat a customer this way.
