Review content:
We took our great dane to this vet because her tail was getting injured on the tip. It was bleeding and we were afraid that it would get infected and continue to cause issues so we contacted butler for a tail docking. They scheduled the surgery a week later, no waiting, no checking her blood for infection, just gave her some antibiotics and said they would cut it off in a week. Assuming they knew what they were doing, we took our dog back and they did the surgery and our dog died on the table. There was no reason this should have happened with a healthy 2 year old dog. When I came to get the dog, they did not even have the common decency to finish sewing up her tail area, instead left a gaping hole which was uncalled for. I asked for the medical records of what was done and they said I had no right to the documents, only after advising I have a legal background and work on legal matters did they realize they were not talking to an uneducated person and they reluctantly turned it over. Their medical records do not have their name on the top of the files (hmm, I wonder why) none of the medicines given to our dog were recorded, and I noticed in the surgery room that their center appears to be outdated with extremely old tools and technology so I have no faith they took appropriate action to save my dog's life. I then took the dog to a external necropsy provider who found many irregular things in the report. To this day, we have never gotten an apology call, letter, or anything from this vet. They do not care, just take your money, if the dog dies, who cares?? Not them. They will hear from me again, but in my legal capacity and from someone at the state.
