Review content:
I am a teacher and a doctoral student. I used to throughly enjoy doing business and promoting the quality of work at Fed Ex/Kinko's in Lee's Summit, MO, but that was before it deteriorated into a dirty environment with inferior service. I went to Fed Ex/Kinko's to fax an article and laminate posters. We have laminators at school, but I preferred Kinko's lamination because the quality used to be outstanding. One poster was returned to me with waves in the laminate. I told an employee, ""The machine is too hot. It shouldn't be this wavy."" I was considerate, but concerned about the lamination. She said, ""No, there's about 15 reasons related to the paper that causes waviness."" The second piece was the front page of the 2008 presidential elections for my classroom and filled with more waves than the previous jobs. Both female employees left us at the front counter and never returned to wait on us. About 15 minutes later, the woman responsible for the shoddy lamination left the building without a word to me. GWJ Company explained that waviness during lamination is ""caused by too much heat or forgetting to turn on the fans. If there is too much heat or if the fans are off, the adhesive will set up while the film is slack or curved, resulting in a clear but wavy laminated surfaces."" After waiting for more than 15 minutes without service, I asked another employee if he could fax my article and wait on us. He said he ""wasn't really sure how to do it."" Although he successfully sent the fax, he never measured the laminated posters (he said he made ""an approximate guess""). When I measured the posters at home, I found I was overcharged for the lamination. I called Kinko's, explained the error, and said I had the receipt, but the employee who answered the phone said, ""There's nothing we can do."" I will never go to FedEx/Kinko's in Lee's Summit, MO again. Pros: FedEx/Kinko's USED TO offer superior service and quality products. Cons: Ever since FedEx took over Kinko's, the environment is dirty, the service is terrible, and the products could not be worse
