Review content:
I paid Desert Automotive Muffler & Hitch Co. located at 16281 Yucca Street Hesperia, Ca 92345 to install a Magnaflow muffler on my 2003 Dodge Ram. When I got home, I check their work and notice the muffler looked cheap and had no markings.
(the address on this page is different for some reason, so I included the address of the shop as written in their business card to avoid any confusion or mistakes)
I returned to ask if maybe they made a mistake. Brian(the owner)tried to convince me it was Magnaflow. I asked him to show me the Warranty card and he told me there is no such thing. When I wouldn't let up, he finally agreed to swap it "if it makes you feel better", his exact words.
Customer service HAD been great so I gave him the benefit of the doubt and he purpously tried to rip me off. I refused to let them touch my truck again. Even though I caught him in his own lies, he was rude and refused to admit any wrong doing or to refund my money(I even offered to return the junk they put in my truck first). I had to get the Bureau of Automotive Repair involved just to get a partial refund and the correct muffler.
IF YOU OR ANYONE YOU KNOW PAID FOR A BRAND NAME MUFFLER AT THIS SHOP, have it inspected by another shop. Make sure you got what you paid for. Even if it's been too long and you don't have a receipt, take the time to report them so they don't do it again to someone else.
