After realizing that I had a sewage backup from my basement drain, I knew I needed help fast. My dad suggested I call Roto Rooter, and I was glad to hear they could have a plumber out to me the same day, without any extra ""emergency"" services fees like some other companies. I was told by the pleasant customer service representative that I would receive a call about 30 minutes before the plumber would arrive, and that is exactly what occurred. \r

When Mike the plumber arrived, he greeted my very friendly (and nosy) dog and then got right to the problem. He spent some time assessing the situation, asked several questions about what occurred prior to the backup, then advised me of what he felt the problem was. He provided me with pricing for each task he would perform prior to beginning his work. Once I gave him my approval, he set about bringing in his equipment and getting to it! Mike worked efficiently and effectively, explaining what he found, what he was doing and confirming that my problem had been resolved. \r

Upon completion of the work, Mike explained that he had to perform an additional service which increased my original estimate, but it was a marginal cost, so I did not complain. Mike explained the warranty, and I signed off on the work. The only small gripe I had was that some of the foul ""residue"" from the snaking machine dripped on my floor and on the steps outside of my home and was not cleaned up very well. However, all in all, I would say that I was very satisfied with the service provided. Mike was a professional and I would definitely recommend Roto-Rooter in the future.\r
