I will never go back to this place! I received the most impersonal massage from Karen. She never introduced herself when I arrived and just took me back to the massage room. She did some muscle tests and I felt like a manikin. She never explained what she was doing just moving different parts of my body. At the end of the session she left me on the table and told me to take my time. After a couple of minutes I got up and got dressed and waited for her to return for an additional 5 minutes. She never came back and I found her sitting at the front desk. They also have you wear shorts and a gown during the massage. A blanket was never offered for warmth. I have never received a massage in clothes! That is what sheets and blankets are for. Also it is important to be aware that even though you are paying for an hour massage it is actually only 50 minutes. I read the cost listed on the website for an hour massage but never read further down the page which stated a 1-hour massage is 50 minutes and when I called for an appointment this was never mentioned. I arrived exactly at 6pm for the time scheduled and of course there was paperwork that I needed to complete (the receptionist never mentioned to come in earlier to complete paperwork). The time to complete the paperwork and waiting for the massage therapist all cut into my massage time. I ended up receiving only 30 minutes of massage. I have received massages in the past and the therapists have always asked me if I would only like to focus on a particular area (e.g. back), have a general massage, or a combination of both. I was never asked this or told what to expect by Karen. I was also never offered water or tea at the end of the massage. I just hope I can find a good massage therapist on the Eastside! I may need to commute to Seattle to go to the DreamClinic for an excellent massage and service! I really think the Lake Washington Massage Therapy could learn a lot from how the DreamClinic is run! Pros: Parking is Easy Cons: Service is Impersonal and Service is Not Worth the Cost
