Review content:
It is truly unfortunate that it takes a pet emergency that preys on an owner's concern for their pet to bring out the very worst at this vet clinic. When my dog had a recent medical emergency, I went to this clinic first because it was the closest one to me and I honestly didn't know what was wrong and if my dog would survive. The vet on call said there could be only 2 possible things wrong with my dog and that they would need to operate that night. And the outcome for the dog was presented as not good without immediate surgery . Scare tactics to guarantee you'll sign up for whatever services they want to charge you, even without a definite diagnosis. I have since found out that the symtoms can monitor many more things than the vet even mentioned but the ones that were mentioned were high ticket items. Before I had ANY final diagnosis, (which I never received from them that night) I was asked to put down a $2,600 down payment. They start out high and if you push back at all, they come back with a lower figure and an attitude. They then proceed to add all the charges they can on to your credit card for close to the total of what they needed for a ""down payment."" I didn't want my dog left there overnight and miraculously she was able to travel to my regular vet without ""immediate surgery"" and no further problems that night. When I left, I still did not have a definite diagnosis of what was wrong with my dog and what the vet mentioned about it being only 2 possible things, was neither of them. Warning bell: : CT Vet Center's LOWEST cost estimate in the range they gave me for my pet's total care, was still hundreds of dollars HIGHER than the actual TOTAL my regular vet charged me where my dog had all of her major care for 3-4 days done. There are just too many complaints about this clinic and in addition to all of the quality of care concerns, they should be investigated for unfair and unprofessional business practices.
Cons: Ridiculous fees, scare tactics, dirty facilities
