I've been going to this store out of convenience's sake, but I think I won't shop there again. I'm excited, because there's a new bead store coming to downtown Hagerstown Nov 15 '05. But back to Beads and Crystals of Frederick; There is a large variety (not huge) of gemstones, in many cuts and sizes. However, I find the gemstones to be mediocre in quality. Many of the larger, cut stones have imperfections, and textured (not on purpose) surfaces. The staff is just there to assist you in your projects. No smiling face to greet you, especially by one of their young lady staff members. The store is roomy, so you won't bump into eachother and/or beads as you move around to look. It seems to me that this location, as big as it is for a bead store, could hold a lot more inventory. Check out their bagged goods behind the counter--several deals on bulk products are there.
