This is my honest opinion and experience with this club. I joined back in 2006 with a 2 year membership, once this was up I was on a month to month basis. I decided to cancel my membership and when I called their sales person said I would do better just freezing my account so that I wouldn't have to repay the start up fee. I agreed after months passes I noticed they started to charge my account again. I contacted them and told them I wasn't aware this would happen and they said if I wasn't ready I could re freeze my account and they would call me before they reactivated it. They did this and I did reactivate my account at one point. However after another year I froze it again, however after months passed I had my number changed, I bought a new home, and my credit card expired. So there was no way to contact me, and of course I wasn't using the gym. Last month I received a letter from a debt collection agency and they said I was in collections for a bill from anytime fitness!! They had been charging me for the last 3 months. I contacted the gym and the owner ANGELINA stated there was nothing she could do and that it was basically my fault for not contacting them with my updated information. She wasn't willing to take back the charge and blamed me, even though i wasn't on a contract with them. DO NOT JOIN THIS CLUB, THIS OWNER IS A SCAM ARTIST, WHO TEACHES HER SALES TEAM TO PROMOTE THE FREEZE STATUS TO ALWAYS KEEP PEOPLE ON THE HOOK TO BE CHARGED! SCAM SCAM SCAM I WILL BE JOINING MANHATTAN ATHLETIC CLUB INSTEAD! BEWARE
